Our nation's history is so easy to take for granted. Without sounding too Pollyanna, we truly are blessed to live in a nation whose founders risked their very lives to give us the foundations of freedom upon which we live today. While neither our history nor our present time is perfect, we are a nation of people who believe that we can do and be so much more. Never reaching the pinnacle of our success or the heights of our ultimate aspirations.
To all those who have gone on before us, to those who have given much in ideas, ideals and their very lives so that "our children" might have better lives--we are eternally grateful.
